This is a past event

A free concert by the Harps of Gold Orchestra and Choir. A programme of music and song for Christmas and the audience can also sing along to their favourite carols. A feel good concert certain to put you in the mood for Christmas. Donations to Friends of Anchor Charity Aberdeen.

This is now an annual event in the calendar and this is our 3rd year.  Last year we had an amazing turnout and raised over £500 for the Musical Memories Dementia Programme in Aberdeen.  This year the featured charity is Friends of Anchor which is very close to our hearts as one of our members is battling with cancer right now and has had wonderful support from the Friends of Anchor.  This is our way of acknowledging the wonderful work they do.

Irene Watt is a Harpist and Singer and is the musical director of the Harps of Gold Orchestra and the Burns Quoir.  She is a well known performer in Folk Clubs and Festivals around the country.  She is an Ethnomusicologist and has a PhD in Ethnomusicology from the Elphinstone Institute at the University of Aberdeen.
