Award-winning University of Aberdeen author Wayne Price launches his debut collection of short-stories, 'Furnace'.

The short stories of award-winning Aberdeen author Wayne Price have been hailed by Alan Warner as 'some of the best short stories written anywhere in recent years', whilst Alan Spence describes him as 'one of the most impressive writers of his generation'.

Wayne Price was born in south Wales but has lived and worked in Scotland since 1987. He teaches literature and creative writing at the University of Aberdeen.

His debut collection, Furnace, will be launched by Freight Books on February 22nd at Waterstones, Union Bridge, in Aberdeen.

The event will begin at 18:30 with readings from the stories and end with the opportunity to put questions to the author. Book your place at this event by emailing info@freightbooks.co.uk or simply turn up on the night.
