This Saturday, exercise your power of thought, as we celebrate National Science and Engineering Week with a host of family friendly science and technology activities.

This Satursday (19th March) we have the fabulous Discovery Day happening for National Science and Engineering Week. Satrosphere Science Centre and Aberdeen Maritime Museum will play host to dozens of activities across a whole range of different areas.  New activities for this year include Food Lab - a great new hands on activity from the Rowett Institute, Who Wants to Be a Scientist - a lively show from the Satrosphere show team, Battlefield Communications - a new collaboration with the Gordon Highlanders Museum and Energy Antics - a fun interactive workshop from BP. You'll be able to find out more about the exciting 2012 British Science Festival that's coming to Aberdeen next year.  And there will be chance to explore the science of lighthouses in a fun, interactive show from the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses in Fraserburgh.

There are also lots of exhibitions to see to, including the new Fossils and Funny Bones and What a Load of Rubbish exhibitions at Satrosphere.

Admission to both Satrosphere and the Maritime Museum is FREE on Discovery Day.
