University election hustings

This is a past event

Students, University staff and members of the public are invited to come along and quiz prospective members of the next Scottish Parliament on their policies for Scotland.

The hustings are organised by the University’s School of Politics and International Relations, with support from the Aberdeen University Students Association and the campus trades unions.

The panel will comprise Lewis Macdonald (Scottish Labour Party), Kevin Stewart (Scottish National Party), Martin Ford (Scottish Green Party), Sheila Thomson (Scottish Liberal Democrats) and Sandy Wallace (Scottish Conservatives).

The event will follow the ‘question time’ format and be chaired by AUSA President Robin Parker.

Topics are expected to include Higher Education, environmental sustainability, economic development and other topical issues.

There is no requirement to book, but proposed questions for the panel should be sent to the email address below.
