If you have ancestral roots in the North East of Scotland this is the perfect event to find out more about your family tree from the knowledgeable staff who will be on hand to answer queries and perhaps help you unearth that elusive skeleton in the family closet!
There will be talks from professionals and experienced volunteers in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere throughout the two days as well as storytelling. Organisations involved include: Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Archives, Aberdeenshire Museums Service, Aberdeen and North East Scotland Family History Society, Aberdeen City Registrars, Aberdeenshire Registrars, Aberdeen City Libraries, Local Studies Aberdeenshire Library and Information Services, Local Studies Northern Health Services Archive, University of Aberdeen, Special Collections, Portsoy Salmon Bothy, and Museum of Scottish Lighthouses.
