Brand new CafeMED kicks off the 2010 season of Cafe Scientifique.
We are launching three Cafe Science initiatives in 2010. CafeMED is a new medically themed cafe at the Suttie Centre in the Foresterhill Health Campus, beginning on Monday January 18th with a discussion on Osteoarthritis. Later the same week, Cafe Scientifique City returns to Waterstone's on Union Bridge with a session inspired by 2010 - International Year of Biodiversity and delivered by Professor Marcel Jaspars.
Later in February, we launch Cafe Scientifique Aberdeenshire at WoodEnd Barn, Banchory. The Astronomer Royal for Scotland, Professor John Brown, will be reflecting on the International Year of Astronomy and discussing interstellar travel and the origin of Universes, with a litte magic thrown in for good measure.
