The Centre for the Study of Myth are delighted to host this fascinating talk by Ms. Sarah-Allegra Schönberger.

Ms. Schönberger is a Doctoral Assistant at the University of Vienna. She holds a B.A. in Japanese Studies (2010) and an M.A. in Religious Studies (2012). She is currently completing her doctoral research on iconographical transformation processes of the Buddhist guardian deity Vaiśravaṇa.

The talk will cover the mythic era of Japan's "divine age", that is, the periods before the reign of the emperor Jinmu (d. 6th century BCE, descendant of the sun goddess and the legendary founder of Japan’s Imperial House).

Free event, no booking required.
