Insides of a microbe

Presented by Dr Cecile Gubry-Rangin Are you wondering how scientists access the genetic information contained in the extremely small microbes? This hands-on activity is for you! Come to visit us to discover the immense hidden microbial diversity in our planet and to understand cutting-edge technologies used by microbiologists to reveal the deep nature of those crucially important but tiny organisms. Several activities will be accessible to children from 2 to 12 years old.

Plastic Pollution in Our Oceans

Come and learn about the wonderful and diverse marine life that can be found across the world from Scottish waters to the deepest oceans. Join the Aberdeen University Marine Society to fi nd out more about life in the ocean, plastic pollution and how it affects marine animals and ways we can all help to protect our oceans.
