Placing the spotlight on a specialist approach to asset integrity management in the offshore oil and gas industry.

The Aberdeen-based not-for-profit group – which encourages people of all ages and backgrounds to consider a career path in the engineering sector – is to host a seminar that will highlight the advantages of using composite repairs on safety critical equipment and structures.

The seminar will provide an introduction to composites, outlining how they are designed and how they are applied within the oil and gas industry. It will also highlight the cost-effective nature of this approach to integrity management and its relevance in the current climate.

The keynote presentation will be given by Frank Fotso, an engineer with expertise and experience in asset integrity management. Frank holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Newcastle University, and currently works as a technical representative at a manufacturer of pipeline repair solutions based in Cambridgeshire.
