A talk by Annie Robinson

This talk is aimed at an adult audience of 16+.

Discover the simple measures we can all do in our gardens to help bumblebees and how you can get involved in the BeeWatch citizen science scheme. Also find out about the non-native New Zealand Flatworm, its impact on native earthworm populations and how we can help stop its spread.

Annie Robinson is based at the University of Aberdeen working on a number of citizen science projects, in particular OPAL (Open Air Laboratories) which is a UK-wide citizen science initiative that allows everyone to get hands-on with nature, whatever their age, background or level of ability. Her passion is engaging people in the environment all around them whether that is looking at bumblebees or recording non-native species.
