Portering services

King's College

Requests for Portering Services/ Bulk Mail Collections

All requests for portering services should be made by contacting the Sacrist at King's College, telephone number 01224 273325 or email stan.jack@abdn.ac.uk

Duty Hours

Porters are on duty Monday to Thursday from 0700 to 1545 hours and on Fridays from 0700 to 1600 hours.

Room Setups

Once you have received confirmation of a room booking you should contact the Sacrist with details of your room setup requirements. This should be done at the earliest possible moment to allow for the collection and provision of furnishings and highlight any problem areas.

Rooms booked through the Conference and Events Team will include the room setup detail. Therefore it is not necessary to contact the Sacrist.

Examinations

Details of all examinations held outwith the main examination period should be forwarded to the Sacrist with your setup and stationery requirements.

Medical School Campus, Foresterhill

The Sacrist, Raymond Keenon and his team of Attendants provide Mail and Portering services at the Campus. They operate out of the Mailroom/Reception, located on the ground floor of the Polwarth Building, Ext. 7098.

Marischal College, Broad Street

The Sacrist, Stan Jack, although based at King's College, is also responsible for Portering Services at this campus.

Bookings for the Mitchell Hall, Picture Gallery and other rooms at Marischal College are taken by Registry - roombookings@abdn.ac.uk.
