Key Cutting Service

All new and additional keys required for University Departments/Buildings must be requested from the Estates Section.

Most keys can be cut via our contract locksmith, however, all RUKO and ASSA suited keys (make printed on key head) should be requested through the relevant Building Clerk of Works.

To request copies of keys please download and complete our Key Cutting Request Form and return to Estates Section, along with a copy of the key required.

If you do not have a copy of the key please contact the relevent Building Clerk of Works to arrange.

We have a courier service which runs to the locksmith every Tuesday and Thursday. Keys sent to the locksmith on a Tuesday will usually be returned on the Thursday and those sent down on a Thursday, returned the following Tuesday.

NB Depending on the make of key there will be instances where the cutting process will take longer.

All key requests must be with Estates by 3.30pm the previous afternoon to make the courier run on the following day.
