Driving

Cars have become an integral part of our daily lives, with many of the journeys that we do everyday involving our cars.

It has become so ingrained that we rarely consider alternatives, with the result that one third of all journeys are less than a mile in Aberdeen.  (Local Transport Strategy for Aberdeen, Aberdeen City Council, 2000). 

Many of these short journeys would be more appropriate on foot or by bicycle.
