The 'able' campaign
Why was it developed?
The aim of the Environment Office is to engage with the staff and student population at the University, and to raise awareness about the day to day issues that impact on our environment. In order to do this the Environment Office wanted to develop a campaign that was appealing to all, different, versatile and that would suit an academic environment.
How was it developed?
Three external graphic design agencies were asked to tender for the development of an awareness raising campaign that would deal with environmental issues in a more unusual way.
Once the tenders were submitted, a working group of people from different University walks of life were asked to give their opinions. The working group were then asked to choose the campaign that they felt would work best in the University environment, 'able' met this need.
Where will you see the 'able' campaign?
The ‘able’ campaign has just started to emerge, but over the years it is hoped that it will progress into a successful awareness raising strategy.
