Engineering Staff Vacancies
Academic & Support staff positions are advertised in the open press and at the University of Aberdeen recruitment web site. Further particulars of specific posts may also be obtained from this site or by writing to the Human Resources department. Prospective new staff may also contact the Head of the School of Engineering.
Engineering Research Staff
Research assistant, teaching assistant and postdoctoral fellowships are advertised on the University of Aberdeen recruitment web site Suitably qualified applicants may wish to contact staff working in an appropriate research topic for information on current and expected opportunities.Engineering Research Studentships
We welcome enquiries at any time from suitably qualified individuals interested in joining our Research Groups for postgraduate research study. Applications for postgraduate study should be made via the University web site. Additional information is provided on SRAS web site. A list of available PhD studentships can be seen on the College Graduate School site.
Many applicants are self-funded or have partial funding from industry or their own funds. A number of funded studentships are allocated each year and are coordinated by the School (via the Research Committee). There are also project studentships related to specific research projects within the School. Applicants should apply via the University web site using the normal procedure, but indicating that they do not have their own funding. Applicants may wish to contact staff working in an appropriate research topic for information on current and expected opportunities.
Scholarships and Award Opportunities
