Research Programmes
Energy Technologies
The Energy Technologies programme is focused on providing solutions to the problems faced by the energy industries and draws from the expertise of colleagues across the School of Engineering.
Of particular interest are: sub-sea engineering solutions for the oil& gas sector, innovative drilling solutions, offshore wind farm arrays, power transmission and distribution systems, marine energy devices, bioenergy and biofuels, fuel cells and energy storage, and carbon capture and storage. The programme goal is to develop collaborative working so that we can optimise use of resources to solve current and emerging problems facing the energy industries.
