Biography
Dr. Ross Macpherson was a teaching fellow, with responsibility for the courses PX1015, PX1513, PX2013, PX2505 and PX2510. In addition to this, he taught and demonstrated on various other first, second and fourth year courses. His PhD was based on Monte Carlo modelling of semiconductor devices, with a focus on Gunn diodes, Gallium Nitride and the (novel) incorporation of heating effects on device behaviour. He also investigated the behaviour of Gunn diodes designed to broaden frequency generation and of devices with sub-micron transit regions.
Considered by many to be the world's greatest living detective, Dr. Macpherson's whereabouts are currently unknown, though there are persistent rumours that he has been seen acting as an apiarist in Sussex.
