Research Interests
Mechanics of solids including:
The mathematical modelling of the compaction and flow of powders and pastes using soil mechanics concepts in industrial and agricultural processes such as forming of green ceramics.
Development of constitutive equations for the monotonic and cyclic deformation of granular materials.
Microstructural design to improve the fracture behaviour of coarse grained ceramics, refractories and concretes.
