Biography
Dr Hongyue Sun obtained a Bachelor degree in Physics at Qufu Normal University of China; She taught Physics for more than 10 years at Laiyang Agricultural College of China (now Qingdao Agricultural University of China) before starting her PhD at the University of Aberdeen, UK (UA). She obtained PhD in Optical Engineering in 2002 in School of Engineering at UA. From then to present, she has been doing research in the Group of Communication and Imaging, School of Engineering, UA.

Research Interests
Instrumentations, optical imaging system design and impletations; microsopic imaging system; the applications of conventional and digital holography in marine (eHoloCam project) and medical sciences; colour holography.
