The University of Aberdeen is proud to host the annual 'Energy Industries Overview: Oil and Gas, Renewable Energy' event for those wishing to gain a greater understanding of the issues and activities affecting the two industries. This event is run by key industry specialists who are active in their field of expertise. Senior representatives of the major operating and service companies, academia, and trade associations bring their knowledge to the event and put into context the future sustainability of the industry.

Course Aims

The conference aims to give a basic understanding of the:

  • upstream Oil and Gas industry, technical stages from exploration to decommissioning
  • regulatory and business environment affecting the two industries
  • Renewable Energy industry

History

Previously named the Oil Overview, this CPD event has changed over the past 18 years to reflect the movements of the industries.  Now titles the Energy Industries Overview:  Oil and Gas, Renewable Energy, this exciting event brings together up-to-date knowledge and exprience of the industries in todays ever evolving world.
