These recordings are issued in tribute to Stanley Robertson (1940 - 2009). Stanley was a phenomenon and an inspiration. Born and raised in North-East Scotland, his songs and ballads carry forth the lives, hopes, and dreams of generations of his people, the Scottish Travellers. In 2008, Stanley's exceptional achievements were recognized by the award of an honorary degree, 'Master of the University', by the University of Aberdeen.

This double CD brings together 34 of Stanley Robertson's best ballads and songs, some well known, many quite rare. Recorded over the last few years, the songs range from tragic classics to humorous songs.
