To place Doric in its historical context, a selection of work by the many maakers who have been major contributors to the literary and linguistic heritage of the North East has also been included.

Bothy songs, ballads, and fiddle music can also be found on the site - and audio and visual clips feature too. The Kist is a fully searchable resource which can be downloaded for personal and educational use.
