Bucksburn     by: Blackhall, Sheena

I am the buck o the Buck's burn
The watter that's wimpled ben
The banks an the braes aroon ye
Lang ere the sicht o men.

The Howes wi their trees an flooers
Are hame tae the wild an free
Spurgies, an wallopin rubbits
An fower fittit beasties like me

An whyles the burn rins bonnie
An whyles it rins ooto sicht
Till it draps tae the Don's wide watter
Mugiemoss, far the waves lowp bricht!
