Content
An active, participative approach is central to this course. With this approach, students will be encouraged to explore beliefs, values and attitudes and share experiences.
Learning strategies for health education, such as brainstorming, role play, games and case studies, will be exemplified in workshops.
Opportunities will be provided for individual reading, investigation and reflection through open learning, guided study and tutorials.
The importance of involving other relevant professional agencies and partners in preparing beginning teachers for health education and health promotion is integrated into the course.
