Undergraduate Programmes
- BMus (Hons): 4-year full time undergraduate programme in which for the first two years of Core Study, students are able to develop skills in their subject area before applying these within a professional context which can include teaching.
- BA in Childhood Practice: The BA Childhood Practice is designed to meet the continuing professional development (CPD) needs of adults working with children from 0 -16 within all sectors of provision. Validated by the Scottish Social Services Council.
- BA in Social Pedagogy: Social Pedagogy is a multi-disciplinary professional approach concerned with the physical, emotional and spiritual well being of children and adults with special/complex needs. It encompasses care, education, craft and artistic activities and a medical, theraputic element. The programme is offered in collaboration with the Camphill Rudolf Steiner Schools in Aberdeen and it is structured over four years on a full-time basis with work based practice experience, as a significant feature.
- BA in Professional Development:
The BA in Professional Development focuses quite specifically on continuing professional development and is based on a model of continuing professional development, which, emphasises the centrality of: Learning from experience through reflective practice; Inquiry as a method of resolving professional problems; Critical evaluation of professional practice. The programme is designed to be taken whilst working full or part time and open learning is the main mode of delivery.
- BA in Community Learning and Development: This programme, which is approved by the CLD Standards Council, provides a flexible workbased route to a recognised professional qualification for those employed in Community Learning and Development roles in the public and voluntary sectors. The programme uses participants' practice as the basis for professional learning and builds on previous qualifications and learning. In addition, work related placements expand the opportunities for learning from experience.

to new undergraduate and postgraduate students, specific information targeted for International, mature and direct entrant students, and includes details of inductions activities (both academic and social) and a range of Frquently Asked Questions (FAQ).

Catalogue of Courses: The Catalogue of Courses is a companion to the Aberdeen University Calendar and it contains details of all undergraduate courses taught in the University, except those for the degrees of MB ChB. Link to Education courses.
