Course Outline

This course will focus on the delicate issues of mental illness and mental and spiritual well being. The course will seek to consider the person centred approach to psychopathology and in the context of mental health in relation to the Medical Model of mental illness. Specific issues will be addressed in workshop forms such as sexual abuse; sexuality and spirituality.

An invited ‘client’, a former user of mental health services, will visit the course and share her experiences of treatment for depression.
