Teaching & Assessment

Delivery of Stages I and II is by weekly teaching sessions and tutor support.  Stages III and IV are delivered in 3-5 day workshops supported by web based materials and tutorials. The teaching in all four stages is actively complimented by the student's ongoing involvement in practice and everyday life.

Classes, seminars and workshops are participative with students as active learners, being given increasing responsibility to prepare presentations, share their own practice with others, research specific areas and bring information and insights back to the group.  Significant use is made of small group tasks, action learning sets and artistic activities to enhance learning opportunities. The student's practice is assessed in each of the first three stages of the programme.  In stage IV they undertake an action research project related to developing their practice and that of their work setting.
