MARIE CURIE TRAINING SITE
RESEARCH TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR EARLY-STAGE RESEARCHERS
2006-2009
WHO CAN APPLY?
- This Marie Curie Training Site provides training for "Early-Stage
Researchers", i.e. researchers at the beginning of their research career,
with less than four years of active research experience (e.g. researchers
undertaking a doctoral degree)
- Applicants should be eligible to register for a PhD or already
registered for a PhD, i.e. they should already have a first degree (e.g. BSc).
Trainees who are appointed for 36 months may register for a PhD in one of
the host institutions.
- Marie Curie actions are open to researchers in all fields
of scientific and technological research from the EU Member States, from countries
associated with FP6 and from third countries.
- Applicants must meet MOBILITY criteria. This means:
- Firstly, the researcher should not be a national of the
state in which they plan to move and carry out their research;
- Secondly, the researcher has not lived, worked or studied
in that country for more than 12 months out of the three years immediately
prior to either the time of application, or the start of their work (depending
on the action).
- For projects that will be based at more than one centre
of the training site, applicants must meet eligibility criteria for each
centre. For example, UK and Greek nationals may not apply for projects
that involve stays in Scotland and Greece.
- The proposed project should be consistent with the theme
of this Training Site.
Further information on eligibility criteria for
Marie Curie training appears on the EUROPA website here.
IMPORTANT NOTE: THESE VACANCIES ARE FOR EARLY
STAGE RESEARCHERS WHO DO NOT ALREADY HAVE A PHD.
