Management Research Programmes

Management studies offers supervision across a wide range of areas and offers a hightly supportive research culture for PhD students. We run a comprehensive PhD programme to ensure students receive the necessary training and support. This programme is recognised by the ESRC and the ESRC (Economic and Social Research Council) is the major body in the UK that provides funding for postgraduate research students to help ensure that they are equipped to pursue careers in social science research and related fields of employment. In the 2001 recognition excercise, the Department of Management Studies was recognised for full-time students +3. This means that our PhD programme, including supervisory system, training courses, review of progress and facilities meets the ESRC guidelines.
