Funding: NHS Health Scotland

Investigators: Spratt J, Philip K, Shucksmith J, McNaughton R, van Teijlingen E, Tucker J

Summary

This study aims to review the approaches, activities and resources currently being applied to support the delivery of sex and relationships education (SRE) in primary schools in Scotland. Following on from previous work relating to SRE in secondary schools (Teijlingen E, Tucker J, Philip K, Spratt J et al 2007) it is anticipated that this study will support the implementation of Respect and Responsibility (Scottish Executive 2005) as well as the recommendations included in the Report of the Working Group on Sex Education in Scottish Schools (McCabe 2000).
