Involving Women - A Dugald Baird centre Public Consultation on Women's Health Concerns and health Research Priorities
Aim
The aim of this project is to undertake a public consultation exercise exploring women's contemporary health issues to better inform the future research strategy of the Dugald Baird Centre. The key objectives of the study are to identify and prioritise health topics and service issues, which women in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire deem to be important.
Methods include: a literature review to identify health topics for women, and methodologies used in involving consumers in the research process; and jury panels of 6-8 women that work with a group facilitator towards reaching a consensus of agreed health research topics and priorities.
This project is funded by DBC, 2005.
