About the Department | Undergraduate Study | Postgraduate Study | Staff Directory | News & Events Undergraduate Assessment in Divinity and Religious Studies: The Common Assessment ScaleAll undergraduate degree work within the University of Aberdeen is assessed according to an agreed Common Assessment Scale (CAS), marked between 0-20. While the precise descriptors for CAS marks (i.e. what the various marks actually mean) may vary between disciplines, the grades themselves are exchangable between disciplines, in order to give a single university-wide assessment system. In Divinity and Religious Studies, the desciptors for CAS grades are divided into those used for the assessment of Levels 1 & 2, and those for Levels 3 & 4. Click the appropriate link below to view a copy of the relevant descriptors: Divinity and Religious Studies CAS descriptors - Levels 1 & 2 Divinity and Religious Studies CAS descriptors - Levels 3 & 4 For further information on assessment regulations at the University of Aberdeen, see the University's Academic Quality Guide.
