Courses & workshops

IT training opportunities for staff and research postgraduate students are administered and coordinated by the Training & Documentation Team (TaD). 

Unless otherwise indicated, courses offered by TaD are free to staff and research postgraduates. Courses are not generally available to undergraduates.

Courses are usually held in Taylor A1, our private training room on the Old Aberdeen campus, or in a computing classroom in the Medical Library at Foresterhill.

Courses currently offered include:

• MS Office 2007 suite - Access, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Email and calendaring - MS Outlook
• Image editing - Adobe Photoshop Elements

The team also runs a highly successful European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) programme with a 95% pass rate to date.
