The Service Desk is your first point of contact for IT support at the University of Aberdeen. The service is available to University of Aberdeen staff (including temporary/honorary staff, and research postgraduates) and students with a valid HR or student record. Our teams are also able to provide certain services to visitors to the institution.
Service Desks are located on both the Old Aberdeen and Foresterhill campuses.
A single e-mail address and phone number ensures that all calls raised with the Service Desk are logged in a service management system for general tracking, management and resolution. Our out-of-hours helpline (same phone number - your call will be automatically transferred) operates 17:00 to 08:00 Monday to Friday, and provides 24 hour cover over weekends and public holidays.
While Service Desk teams aim to resolve most problems or answer questions at the initial point of contact, in some circumstances if may be necessary to to pass the query to a technical specialist for assistance.
