If all our telephone operators are busy, you will be put through to our voicemail system. Please leave a message, together with the following information:
- your full name
- contact telephone number
- a brief description of your enquiry
We will log your call and get back to you as soon as possible.
Out-of-hours
The Out-of-hours helpline operates from 17:00 to 08:00 weekdays and provides 24 hour cover over weekends and public holidays. During these times, any call you make to our Service Desk number is automatically transferred to the OOH Helpline.

- Full name
- Computing username
- Matriculation number (essential for student enquiries)
- Contact telephone number
- Alternative email address (if relevant)
- Current location (Building and room number)
- Department
- Computer Make, Model
- Operating System, Network Address & DNS Name. Check here (campus only)
- Classroom PC's - room number, workstation number
- Any error messages
- A clear description of the problem or query
All logged calls are assigned a unique call reference number.
If you receive an email from us with a call reference number please remember to quote this in any response; this will assist us in dealing with your call as quickly as possible.

Service Desks are located in the following buildings:

- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 09:00-17:00
- Wednesday: 10:30-17:00
- The Sir Duncan Rice Library, Information Centre
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 10:00-16:00
- Wednesday: 13:00-16:00

- Monday to Wednesday and Friday: 09:00-17:00
- Thursday: 09:00-16:00
