Web Development - Service Summary

The Web Design, Authoring, Publishing and Hosting service aims to enhance the UoA presence on the World Wide Web, by providing professional consultation, design and authoring.

The service is available to all staff with a valid staff ID card (including temporary and honorary staff members) and to external clients.


Web Design and Development

Core Services (College or Administration approved work)

  • DIT designs and maintains the UoA central web pages, including academic departments or support sections.
  • DIT provides free consultation, design, and authoring services to UoA departments and sections for core work.

Non-core Services (eg Funded Research Projects)

  • DIT can provide a Standard Template Content Managed website, charged as follows:
    • Standard Template Build: £1400
  • Optional extras on top of the Standard Template build, charged as follows:
    • News module: £175
    • Events module: £175
    • Blog facility: £175
    • Image Gallery: £175
    • Forms (quoted separately based on requirements)
    • Video (quoted separately based on requirements)
    • Bespoke Web Development/Design (quoted separately based on requirements)
    • Hosting (if www.abdn.ac.uk/mysite/): FREE

 


These standard service requests are accessible via the Web Team and are available during core business hours (09:00 - 17:00, Monday - Friday).

Standard requests include:

  • Updates and additions to the University Central web pages, academic departments or support sections
  • Core website consultation, design and authoring to internal clients
  • Provision of access to the University web site for departmental co-ordinators

These additional service requests are accessible via the Web Team and are available during core business hours (09:00 - 17:00, Monday - Friday).

Web design and development schedules will be agreed with customers on a project-by-project basis.
