Relationship Management
for Library and Admin

Dean Phillips is Head of the Relationship Management Team and is also the Relationship Manager for Central Administration and the Library.

I have worked at the University in various IT related roles since 1984 so I suspect my face will already be familiar to some. Based for the most part at Foresterhill and working closely with the NHS, these posts have involved me in many areas of University business including undergraduate and post graduate teaching, research, grant awards and publications. Most recently, I was the Information Services Manager for the College of Life Sciences and Medicine, managing a team of multidisciplinary professionals supporting all areas of college business.

In December 2006, I was appointed to the new post of Head of Relationship Management within DIT, with personal responsibility for Central Administration and the Library. In autumn of 2007, we appointed three new Relationship Managers to work within each of the Colleges - Russell Moffatt (COPS), Alison Povall (CLSM) and Gail Smillie (CASS). Completing the team are our Project Managers, Kenny Bruce, Debbie Connon and Mike Whyment, and our staff in the General Office.

The overall mission of the Relationship Management Team is to establish mutually beneficial partnerships between the Directorate and you, our customers, in order to maximise the effective use of IT across the University. We continue through an exciting period of business change and by understanding, anticipating and responding to your needs, we aim to ensure that our services support your objectives; we can only do this together.

We are constantly looking at new ways of working and enhancing those already established and, as part of this process, we welcome feedback. Please feel free to contact your Relationship Manager at any time to discuss your requirements.
