The Virtual Museum can be explored in your classroom using an interactive whiteboard – you can see all the displays that you would have seen on a visit to the museum. research in museum education within the museum has focused on young
children's learning in museums and the use of historical fiction as
a support for object-based history teaching. The latter project was
funded as part of the Scottish Museums Council's Museum Education Initiative.
The museum welcomes other research proposals, particularly those that
