Conservation
Image: Bronze Age beaker pot with flints and axe-shaped stone. c.2400 to 600 BCThe most recent major development in the Museum is the creation of a purpose-built Conservation Laboratory, where we do conservation and analytical work on the collections. As the major laboratory of its kind in northern Scotland, we also work on other collections. The Conservator can also offer advice on the appropriate environmental requirements for the storage and display of important and vulnerable material.
