... and forgive his sins. He asks her to receive him as her servant, to heed him, weighed down as he is by his sins; in doing so, she will cleanse him of them. He asks her to preserve him and absolve him of his sins. To invoke her sweet name is to inspire hope of salvation; he who does not, is without hope. The author asks her again to help and to be mindful of her servant, who commends himself to her ...
