Prayer, Sancta trinitas atque.



A prayer to the Holy Trinity, asking for protection against evil spirits.


Sancta trinitas atque indivisa uni\tas omnipotens eterne deus spes unica\ mundi qui fecisti celum et terram\ qui montes atque maria tuo semper munimi\ne gubernas tibi commendo animam meam cor\pus quoque cogitaciones ac verba atque omnes\ actus meos ut me a malignis spiritibus defen\das et in eorum potestatem non me deseras neque\ nunc neque in futuro sed graciam tuam michi om\ni hora concedas. Qui vivis.


Prayer, Salve domine Ihesu.



A prayer of salutation to Jesus Christ. The author asks for Christ's guidance, help, comfort and virtue; for pardon for past sins, restraint from present sins and correction against sinning in the future. .


Salve domine Ihesu Christe qui potes salva\re da michi velle et operari que tibi pla\cent et michi expediunt da michi in perturba\cione consilium, in tribulacione auxilium, in perse\cucione solacium, in omni temptacione virtu\tem tribue de preteritis malis indulgencia [indulgenciam], de\ presentibus continenciam, de futuris quoque largi\ri digneris emendacionem. Qui cum patre.

A prayer to God (see folio 56r). The author, cruel and desperate, asks God, who for so long has withheld the sword of revenge, in spite of the author's many sins ...
