Information for applicants
If you are thinking about applying to the University of Aberdeen, it is likely that you would like to know more about the services available.
The university has a well-established support structure for disabled students. Applications from disabled students are considered on the same academic basis as all others. Degrees allied to professional bodies may require additional consideration, but the university is committed to removing any barriers that may exist, wherever possible.
When planning your move to university, you may wish to consider the following issues:
- Lectures/seminars/tutorials (e.g. permission to tape lectures, services of a note-taker, provision of lecture notes/overheads)
- Examination (e.g. extra time, separate accommodation, scribe, rest breaks)
- Practical classes/fieldwork
- Mobility
- Living arrangements
