The Researcher Development Unit supports your personal, professional and career development. We offer a range of activities designed to help you to maximise your learning opportunities during your time at Aberdeen and to provide a skills base for your career wherever it may take you.

We encourage you to reflect on the skills you are developing throughout your research and through our training programmes are we aim to empower you to achieve excellence in your career.

We work on a day-to-day basis with our three academic Colleges

We also work closely with Public Engagement with Research to provide you with practical, real-life opportunities to put your new skills into practice.

The Researcher Development unit supports a progressive strategy for development closely coupled to follow through activities, this approach was recognised by achieving a Research Councils UK Catalyst for Public Engagement with Research, one of only eight across the UK.
