Dr Anable investigates potential carbon implications from increasing the speed limit to 80 mph
Phil Hammond, the Transport Secretary, has announced his decision to launch a full public consultation to raise the speed limit on motorways from 70 to 80 miles per hour. Together with colleagues at Oxford University, Dr Anable has used a model of the UK transport system to analyse the impact of such a policy.
