Dr Anable joins the call for a stronger Energy Bill
The current energy bill lacks teeth in a number of key areas, and needs to include measures to ensure a greater diversity of players in the market, reduce the complexity market rules, improve links with EU policy and make it easier for energy customers to play a more active role, according to leading energy experts. CTR's Dr Anable was on the steering committee for a workshop to discuss challenges and solutions surrounding energy governance. The workshop was organised by The UK Energy Research Centre (UKERC) and the Energy Policy Group at the University of Exeter. The meeting brought together around 100 energy professionals from academia, business, the public sector, and nongovernmental organisations and its findings are summarised in a report of the event which is published today.
