Journalists and academics tend to work on quite different timescales – journalists to remarkably tight deadlines for news bulletins or copy deadlines whereas academics have to worry about what they have written being quoted in twenty years’ time. The Centre hopes to square this particular circle in two ways – firstly, through developing over time the Centre Briefings and, secondly, by responding as quickly as possible to email (crpf@abdn.ac.uk) and telephone enquiries. Occasionally, articles are written for newspapers.
