10 Years of CRH
CRH is 10 years old!
In 2010 we celebrate our tenth anniversary, an important milestone for us. Way back in February 2000 it all started with Dave, the sadly missed Kay and 2 laptops in a small incubation office. Now we have 18 staff members, have moved to bigger offices (with our own meeting room!) have been awarded £5.9M in research funding and are now a successful collaboration with UHI Millennium Institute. All things we are incredibly proud of.
At the moment we are extremely busy, having been lucky enough to be involved in three of only nine projects funded by the CSO in their recent healthcare improvement programme. One project is exploring boundaries in ehealth with colleagues from University of Glasgow, one is testing the delivery of remote pharmacy services with colleagues in CAPC, and the third is evaluating the role of community first responders, and is being conducted by both the Aberdeen and UHI elements of CRH.
To celebrate our 10th anniversary we commissioned some photographs from Ewen Weatherspoon, Inverness photographer. The photos from the exhibition can be viewed HERE and the project storyboards which were also exhibited can be viewed here CRH project storyboards.pdf
The exhibition is a celebration of rural communities, rural health professionals and the work of the Centre for Rural Health. The exhibition was on display in the Centre for Health Science during the month of May, UHI's executive office in June, Kilchoan in August and will be exhibited at the Caithness General Hospital from 20th - 30th September. Thereafter, arrangements will be made for the photographs to be on display in Fort William and Achiltibuie.
