Biography

Sarah-Anne has been a Research Fellow with the Centre for Rural Health  Health since 2009.  Her background is in population/health geography and she is interested in how different types of rural 'spaces' interact with individual and community health and wellbeing - including nautural environments and different types of 'community' spages.  Sarah-Anne has research interests in the potential of Third Sector organisations to deliver health services, as well as wider wellbeing, to rural communities.  She is interested in the contribution of social enterprise to sustaining rural communities and empowering marginalised and excluded groups. Recently, Sarah-Anne has been involved in work to develop new and innovative ways to capture the impact of rural social enterprise.
