Biography

Robert joined the Centre for Rural Health in January 2011 to explore new models for sustaining medical provision in rural general hospitals in NHS Highland.   Between 2003 and 2008, Robert worked for Queensland Health, Australia in Corporate Service roles involving policy review and consultation, investigations of suspected unethical conduct and working with whistle blowers in the Queensland public hospital system.  Robert moved to Scotland in 2009 and worked as a Project Manager with Skills for Health Scotland, developing policy initiatives and reporting on Scottish health labour market issues.  Robert has also volunteered as an adviser with the Citizens Advice Bureau, Aberdeen.

Having lived in regional areas for most of his life, Robert is interested in the challenges involved in delivering health services in rural and remote communities.
