Since 1997, Mike has been a full-time GP at the Aviemore Medical Practice having previously worked for two years in a busy A+E department in rural Australia. Mike has been involved in ski injury research since 1993 and was responsible for setting up the Scottish Ski and Snowboard Injury Database Study. Mike is also the UK National Secretary for the International Society for Ski Safety, a committee member of the British Association of Ski Patrollers and an instructor for BASICS Education (Scotland). Outside work, Mike holds a private pilots licence and enjoys flying to the islands off the west coast of Scotland.
